Cuisinart Food Processor Changed My Attitude About Cooking

When I was growing up, my family owned a restaurant. The kitchen was always loud and bustling and it was basically sensory overload for me. I worked throughout my teens and early 20s running food or being a server.

The chaos from the kitchen stayed with me into adulthood, even as I started doing something else with my life. My parents eventually sold the restaurant and I had no association with it anymore, but still the idea of being in a kitchen got to me, and I didn’t want to be bothered with cooking.

I was a regular takeout person, or dining in a restaurant, or just picking up something premade from the grocery store. One day I began to realize how this was affecting me not only financially, but from a health perspective as well. But I’d be damned if I was going to cook everyday. Not a chance. There had to be another way.

I started looking into the idea of food prepping so that I only had to torture myself for one or two days a week. I was so relieved that this was a thing, otherwise I didn’t think I’d be able to give up my bad habits.

I was able to find different blogs online that went into different ways to prepare food for the week. It seemed fairly easy, but one of the things it looked like I had to purchase was a Cuisinart Food Processor. A friend of mine had recommended doing the same thing, so I decided to take the leap.

I ordered it and WOW. What a helpful tool. The recipes I found online seemed endless and so many of them were a lot healthier than my previous diet, as if that is at all surprising.

I realized I could make even bigger batches of things to freeze to have for super busy weeks or a meal to take out and thaw if I just come back from vacation or something like that. I realized it would help if I had a bigger work bowl at my disposal. My friend suggested checking out KitchenWorksUSA to look at the Cuisinart DLC-8 4-piece Tritan Bowl Kit part. It was precisely what I needed to make those bigger meals.

I’m really glad I found an alternative to daily cooking, and that I didn’t let my past with kitchens completely take over when it came to my lifestyle and diet. My body and wallet are much happier now. I can certainly say that my Cuisinart food processor and any accessories have more than paid for themselves many times over.
